How authentication works
The Wizerr Claude Connector uses OAuth 2.0 — the same industry-standard protocol used by Google, GitHub, and other trusted services. When you connect:
You log in directly on Wizerr's secure login page
Wizerr issues Claude a time-limited access token
Claude uses that token to make requests on your behalf
Your Wizerr password is never shared with Anthropic or Claude
What data Wizerr receives
When you use the connector, Wizerr receives:
The part numbers you search or ask about
Natural language queries when using the component search tool
Engineering questions when using the datasheet Q&A tool
Standard request metadata (timestamp, usage count for billing)
Wizerr does not receive:
Your Claude conversation content
Any other messages or context from Claude
Data from other Claude connectors you may have installed
What Anthropic receives
Anthropic does not receive your Wizerr credentials or search data. Claude sends your query to the Wizerr connector and receives results back — Anthropic's infrastructure facilitates this but does not store the content.
Best practices
Only connect on trusted devices — OAuth tokens are stored securely in your browser or system keychain
Disconnect when not in use — Go to Claude Settings → Customize → Connectors to disconnect
The connector is read-only — It can only search and query data on your behalf. It cannot modify your Wizerr account or data
Be mindful of sensitive data — Part numbers, queries, and engineering questions are sent to Wizerr's servers. If you're working with confidential BOM data, be aware of this before querying
